This week in The Lounge, host Nick explores pizza, process, and customization vs. practical DIY packages with metro New York designer Lori Miller, founder of LGC, Inc.
(fka Lori-Girl Creations), a full-service interior design firm based in suburban Long Island.
Born into a family of contractors and builders, Lori learned about the relationship between interior design and the good life at an early age. “Everything we specify is important to how our clients live, so I really try to get into their heads,” says Lori, who holds a degree in counseling as well as interior design. Trained as a fine artist, she combines her eye for color with her fine-tuned listening skills to get to the heart of what her clients really want in their homes, offices spaces, and commercial environments.
We get down to business—budgets, bookkeeping, and the basic questions you must ask potential clients in Meeting Number One—in this down-to-earth episode of The Chaise Lounge.
Bonus: Lori’s recommendation for the Zagat-rated Italian restaurant you’ll want on your radar if you’re traveling to Las Vegas for
KBIS this month. (Don’t listen to this episode hungry.)
