Welcome! Today in The Lounge, Nick speaks on the Recipe for Success panel, hosted by Christine Phillips, at High Point Market. On the panel, the industry experts discuss PR & press, along with editing, publishing, and branding. For this final episode from High Point Market Fall 2018, Barclay Butera, Jane Dagmi, Christine Phillips, and Amy Flurry bring their diverse backgrounds together to share wisdom regarding the business of design!

Christine Phillips, owner of Viola! PR & Design, specializes in public relations and licensing. She works with designers through all stages of their careers, directing their paths to success. Amy Flurry, author of Recipe for Press and Recipe for Press: Designer Edition, has been a writer for more than 20 years. She has contributed to national publications including Country Living, Condé Nast Traveler, InStyle, along with Better Homes & Gardens. Amy has assumed the role of a communications advisor, and is leading entrepreneurs to strategize more successfully.

Jane Dagmi, editor in chief of magazine Designers Today, held a career in editorials for more than 20 years with Country Living Magazine, meanwhile blogging for Benjamin Moore. In the episode, she urges designers to look at the context of the publications they pitch to, and to be more conscious of quality of content.

Barclay Butera, head of Barclay Butera Interiors, is a designer based in Southern California, with offices California and Park City, Utah. He currently has about 22 designers and 50 employees working throughout the country. In addition to designing, Barclay Butera Interiors is a licensing entity that showed 10 different licensing lines at High Point.

This episode encapsulates all things business and uniquely looks at several perspectives of key players behind the scenes of interior design firms.
