Today in The Lounge Nick hosts two industry extraordinaires, Jeff Segal and Sarah Willet. Nick and Jeff Segal dive into everything that entails Mystic Journey Crystals, crystal mining, and scratch the surface of his past career as a lawyer. Sarah and Nick discuss how she got into product and retail design, alongside running Patina Vie, a vintage boutique firm
Mystic Journey Crystals
Mystic Journey Crystals is recognized globally as the purveyor for extraordinary, investment-quality crystals and geodes for residential, commercial and hospitality spaces – bringing energy and balance to interior design and lifestyles. They have earned their reputation as one of the world’s most trusted curators for their crystal pieces. Founder, Jeff Segal is called upon by designers, architects and discerning clientele to locate, source, evaluate and procure large and rare crystals and geodes for commercial installations and private collections – often getting first selection of the top crystal clusters and geodes found in South American mines as well as other “in the know” mineral sites that few ever make it to the commercial market.
These crystal pieces are sculptural statement pieces; they can be used as major pieces of art or more subtly as an interesting backdrop to complement the décor of a space. Private collectors place them in many different areas of the home; from living rooms and entryways to bedrooms and even gardens. In public settings, they are being acquired for health and wellness facilities and medical centers. No matter if the crystals are large or extremely rare, or even on a smaller scale, these pieces not only add radiant visual beauty to a space but they emit a sensation and unexpected energy that embodies the entire surroundings.
Mystic Journey Crystals offers a trade program that invites interior designers, architects and decor professionals to earn revenue on their purchases or referrals along with trade-only access and pricing on investment-quality geodes and mineral specimens.
Get to Know Sarah Willet
Sarah says that while design has always been an obsession, at this point in her life, it has become a part of her. While she went to school for journalism, marketing, and psychology, following graduating she began to learn the ropes of being a designer and business owner.
Patina Vie is small boutique firm that ships antiques around the world, going into its sixth year. She began by collecting antiques and was supported by One Kings Lane when starting. Sarah never considers her job as work, and even thinks of her team of three girls like sisters. When it comes to running your own shop, her best piece of advice is to put yourself entirely in your business and be present!
