Our Top Picks from Spring HPMKT Instagram Takeover!

Our Top Picks from Spring HPMKT Instagram Takeover!

By Grant Stringer | April 27, 2018

At last week’s High Point Market we asked twelve designers to spot their favorite styles and products from the myriad of impressive showroom floors before snapping a photo and posting on Instagram with the hashtag #tclpstylespot. What we got in return was a host of incredible interior design styles so we just had to shout-out our favorites! Here are our top five takeover faves.

5. Aidan Gray Home Chandelier, spotted by Toma Clark Haines, a.k.a the Antiques Diva

Toma says her first stop at any design market is Aidan Gray — and this year, she’s swooning over the Goliath Star Chandelier (this one in gold), a stunning array of nickel and glass. At $4,125, Goliath Star is certain to light your modern living room.

4. Mr. Brown London Lamp, spotted by Chad James of Chad James Group

We’re loving the modern theme embodied in this Moreland Table Lamp from the distinguished designers at Mr. Brown Home. They blend a familiar sleek style with the spider-webbed brass and a gold finish with hints of patina showing through. The lamps are hand cut by artisan meaning no two are alike! Together, these elements take the lamp from a look tried-and-true to absolutely interesting and innovative.

3. Bevel Swivel Chair, spotted by Kendall Simmons

Kendall says it better than we could: the chair blends comfort and an unmistakable architectural quality. This Bevel Swivel Chair would be enjoyed equally with a drink after a long day at work… or when you work from home. Plus, the plethora of wood and leather colors offer a versatility to fit any preference.

2. Julian Chichester upholstery, spotted by Dan Rak of Dan Rak Design.

Nothing screams fashion fun like these exquisite lounge chairs, which should be showcased in natural light and enjoyed with a cocktail in hand. Julian Chichester took the Turin Chair to the next level with this stunning, bright, floral-paisley print. Spring has sprung!

1. Christopher Guy Maelstrom Chandelier, spotted by Kelly Dunn of Kelly Dunn Home

We started the list with a chandelier, and we’ll end it with one. This glass chandelier with its cascades of black tentacles embodies sleek and artistic qualities that we love to see in design, and would be equally suited for a modern foyer or art studio. It’s an eye-catcher that is crafted to impress. Thanks for the spot, Kelly!

Lastly, we’d like to do a special shoutout to longtime friend Barrie Livingstone whose posts didn’t make it on the takeover but are definitely worth the view!

1. Eichholtz Chair Trapezium

2. The Ping Pong Table by Nuevo

That wraps up our top five picks from the HPMKT 2018 Spring show! Make sure to follow these incredible designers on Instagram to stay in on today’s interior design trends — and start counting down the days for High Point Fall Market! See ya!
